S1 E4: Hey, Big Head.
We’ve turned love into this mushy, gushy, woozy doozy type of feeling that puts air beneath our wings and stars in our eyes. But what about its practical side? When we focus on the way love makes us feel we take a little bit away from its truth. Love, in all its glory might feel like its ours to be had, but maybe we’re missing the whole point. Maybe love is free, to be savored for its presence and set free to bless someone else. We can hope it comes back around and are lucky if it does, but until then, is it possible to cultivate enough to pass around. And is it possible that keeping it all to ourselves is the very thing that pushes love away?
I love myself enough to take my ego out of the driver’s seat.
How can we take the our ego out of the mix to become more compassionate and less rigid in our standards + expectations? How can we model that kind of grace to ourselves and then have it ripple out to others?
