A Glam Tablescape with White Roses

The thing I love the most about hotels is how pristine and put together they look. I remember hearing a friend say that hotels don't feel like home and knowing that I felt the complete opposite. In fact, when I envisioned decorating my first place that's exactly what I thought of: the glamour of a hotel. I know now that glamour is what draws me in. There's something about it that makes you feel special. When I was a little girl,I craved opportunities to dress up. I'd do it for Thanksgiving even though everyone else was in their pajamas at the dinner table. I tried to wear a full gown to my sister's college graduation. I live for glamour and the feeling it brings.

READ: On Confidence

This tablescape is inspired by that glamour. It's the refinement and womanhood that I try to evoke in my own persona everyday. Of course, I used my everyday dish and glassware here and that's what makes it so special. The things you have inside of you can transform into such boundless potential if you use your imagination. The dishes you eat your freezer waffles on during the week can also house the gourmet meals you serve at your dinner parties.

This menu was designed to capture the flavors of the season. It's a little comfort and a little warmth. When I think of Fall those are the things that come to mind.
