Simple White Tablescape
One of the things I was most excited for when moving to my new place was getting my first real set of dishes. I opted to go with a classic all-white, but who knew there were so many different shades. After lots of mix and matching between Target and Ikea, I am pleased to say that I have finally assembled my first collection of dinnerware.
The thing I love most about all white dinnerware is that it serves as a blank canvas. I’m looking forward to all the ways I can mix and match with these basic plates by adding different pops of color, cool salad plates, flatware, bowls, the opportunities are infinite.
To pull this look together, I really was thinking less is more. I’m in an endless hydrangea phase right now, so they seemed like the natural choice. A few tea lights wrapped up the centerpiece. The table looks enchanting in all white with the lit candles.
My finishing touch are these menu cards. Let’s be honest, too plain can be boring. Theses menus were my artistic liberty. I knew I wanted to house them in a napkin with a pocket fold and designed them do that the flatware can sit right on top.
